Pakistan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) has been blessed with enormous natural resources. EEZ of Pakistan is considered as one of the most productive region of the world producing rich fish, minerals, oil, gas and renewable energy. With the increase in energy demands and depleting energy and food resources on land, Pakistan needs to identify additional energy resources as well as food resources from EEZ. This resource potential can be exploited for the economic prosperity and development of the country. It would not be wrong to mention that we are not fully aware of the resources that can be exploited and the available figures are only estimations which cannot be used for effective planning and exploitation of these resources.
